White Blancmange are ski specialists with an elite team of instructors whose pedigree is second to none. All our instructors have the highest qualification expected to work and teach in Europe; the French 'Carte Professionnelle D'Educateur Sportif'. We do not employ instructors currently in training to progress to this level; they must have the full certificate. You can see our team members’ profiles and qualifications below.
We offer a totally bespoke ski service which allows you to have the same instructor for the full duration of your holiday, making the experience as stress-free and fun as possible. This service gives you total flexibility, so you decide what happens, when and where...... The ski instructors can be booked for full or half days when you book your winter luxury chalet.
Our instructors will take care of your every need: whether it's your very first time on snow, or you want to take your skiing to another level with coaching in moguls or park-skiing for example. We also provide back-country and heli-skiing experiences or can simply guide you around the resort.
Our extensive knowledge of each ski-area allows us to ensure that you experience the very best skiing opportunities available. Our instructors are on-hand to ensure that every ski minute of every day is enjoyable. All the little things are taken care of, such as lift tickets and lunch stops, so you can relax and simply enjoy your precious time on the mountain.
We have ski specialists based in all the key resorts: Courchevel, Val d'Isere, Chamonix, Meribel, Verbier and Zermatt. We can also supply instructors anywhere in the French, Swiss or Austrian Alps as required.
Having a full-time ski instructor is like having your own personal coach who can guide you technically, psychologically and physically to enable you to achieve your dreams. Mark has 30 years’-plus ski teaching experience and has followed his passion to the Alps to set up this remarkable team of instructors. Mark has hand-picked an unbelievable team with unparalleled ski experience, allowing our clients to have a level of ski instruction way beyond the boundaries of any other ski provider. Our aim at White Blancmange is to ensure that we maintain this outstanding pedigree of instructors, so that our clients come back time and time again.

ANDY - EX OLYMPIAN RACER
We are delighted to have Andy on the team with his wealth of experience.
Andy spent 8 years on the British Alpine Ski team; 6 years racing on the World Cup circuit alongside the Bell brothers in the '90's. He represented his country at the Olympics in Sestriere 1997, Vail 1999 and Nagano 1998 at the World Championships. His best result was in Vail, where he was 24th. He is 3 times British Champion, 1997, 1998 and 1999, in Downhill and Super G.
These days Andy spends his summers near Aviemore with his wife and three children, where he teaches young windsurfing, sailing and powerboating instructors for the Royal Yachting Association. He is also a coxswain for the local lifeboat association in Aviemore.
In the winter his family move to the Alps where he works with private clients in Austria, Switzerland and France. Specialising in technical courses for the last 10 years, Andy also coaches aspiring ski instructors to gain their full qualifications. The technical courses that Andy teaches enable instructors to become fully qualified ISTD Level 4, the Carte Professionnelle Française.
In order to become a fully qualified ski instructor, students are required to pass the Euro speed test. Andy spent 5 years as an ‘opener’ for this test, setting the standard for all ski instructors in Europe. He also represented BASI as a demo team skier at two Interski Instructor Congresses, delivering workshops and showing the British teaching method to instructors from all over the world.

MARCO - FASTER with PASTA
Marco is a great addition to our team. He started skiing in Italy at the age of 3 and became a member of the Italian Alpine Ski Team, where he won over 200 Championship races and raced to 40 FIS points. An exceptional all-round skier, Marco is totally at home in the ‘park’ as well ‘off-piste’; he is an inspirational skier who is not to be missed.
In the summer Marco also loves the sea; he is qualified as a Yacht Master Off-Shore.
