A Château with over eight centuries of history. Château de Bagnols is one of France’s most important historic monuments. The castle was built by Guichard d’Oingt between 1217 and 1222. In the 13th century, Geoffroy de Balzac, the lord of Entraygues, rebuilt it and on the 30th October 1490, he welcomed King Charles VIII as his guest.
In 2011 Bagnols was bought by Jean-Claude LAVOREL who embarked on a project to improve in order to make it one of the most beautiful châteaux-hotels of France. The château is a listed historic building.

The majestic Salle des Gardes is the setting for the Château’s main restaurant.The coats of arms, which overlook France’s largest gothic chimney, commemorate the royal visit of Charles VIII in 1490.The most demanding guests will appreciate our gastronomic cuisine which is enhanced by freshwater fish and locally sourced charcuterie and cheeses.The beautiful tableware and glassware have been specially designed and created for the Château.
The Château de Bagnols offers an exceptional setting for both private receptions and professional events. The building’s historic cachet is combined with the most modern technology and equipment. Groups of 10-250 people can be accommodated in the large selection of reception rooms.
The château in its entirety can be hired for important events weddings, cocktail parites, product launches.
