An archipelago of 115 islands scattered attractively upon the soft turquoise waters of the salty Indian Ocean, Seychelles is the perfect summer getaway. Mother Nature was very generous with these beautiful islands and granted them with great white-sandy beaches, pristine waters to lap softly upon them and opulent green hills that rise ever so gently. For such a beautiful destination, it is marvellous how it has avoided mass tourism. But let’s not complain. With over thousands of beaches to choose from, you will scarcely bump into anyone. It’ll be like having your own private tropical island.
There are three main islands found in Seychelles, Praslin, La Digue or Mahé which contains most of the trade and industry. With such an otherworldly setting, however, every island is a beautiful adventure. An unsurprising place for a honeymoon, there is more to do in Seychelles than drink champagne (although just drinking champagne is always good). With a model reputation of ecotourism, the Seychelles is the prime location to watch birds and giant tortoises in their natural habitat.
The gorgeous settings, the wonderful activities and the crystal clear sea; Seychelles has an interesting culture because it originally had no indigenous population. The current Seychellois are composed of people who have immigrated. Therefore the mix is interesting with traditions and cuisine, providing an abundance of diverse qualities among the beautiful islands.
