Italy holds a charm that is hard to find anywhere else in Europe, let alone the world. Twenty regions, all unique and remarkable, make up the boot-shaped country. With different dialects, tradition, architecture and cuisine, the regions provide Italy with a sense of diversity that it doesn’t really need. With warm weathers in the summer, it is a perfect destination for that relaxing and culture filled adventure.
Italy is famous for its art. Italian art developed in the Italian peninsula since prehistoric times. During the Roman Empire, Italy was the centre of an artistic culture that for the first time created a universal language for the pandemonium world of Europe and the Mediterranean. With the influences of the Romans and Greeks, Italian art has developed over time into something incredible, and you are sure to see it everywhere: Rome, Venice, Florence, Tuscany, Sicily, Sardinia, Naples, Milan, Pisa, Capri and Pompeii.
The ideology of Italians is to live life to the full. Immaculately dressed, they indulge in family dinners as a social event, taking around four hours to consume a delicious meal and copious amounts of wine produced by their own vineyards. Italy is more famous for its food and wine than art, and without going into too much detail about the exquisite cuisine found in this glorious country, I will just summarise saying that Italy holds some of the world’s top fine-dining restaurants and produces some of the greatest wine on the planet.
