Summer in Verbier holds many world famous activities and events. In July, two music festivals, the renowned Verbier Classical Music Festival and Montruex Jazz Festival (only a short drive away) return each year, with many of the world’s best musicians found jamming in the idyllic village setting. In August, Verbier plays host to the Hippique show-jumping event, voted five times best competition.
But on top of all that, Verbier is a picturesque Swiss village. With tranquil hikes and world-class bike routes—Verbier played host to the 2009 Tour de France, naturally—you can not only take part in many of the activities on offer, but you can immerse yourself within the local-life by exploring the village or by giving your best hand at tennis, volleyball, golf or pony-trekking, or just relaxing in a private pool. Take a lesson at paragliding as it is the ideal location for learning, or maybe just follow the tracks of the Tour de France and go on long mountain bike trips as Verbier does hold several world-class downhill mountain bike routes with the route from Ruinette to Le Chable giving you over 2000 vertical metres.
One of the most luxurious Chalets in Verbier is The Lodge. With delightful facilities guaranteed to entertain for hours, the Chalet accommodates a total of 18 guests. The 9 bedroom chalet is a perfect location for relaxation after a try at one of Verbier’s biking routes.
