The natural Morzine slate throughout this luxury chalet was sourced from the slate mine opposite the chalet and provides a unique, artisanal finish. You can enjoy the stunning view of the Avoriaz cliffs through the stately living room windows or from the perfectly positioned outdoor hot tub. The chalet sleeps 8-12 people in 4 bedrooms and can be combined with the adjoining Chalet La Petite Ourse to accommodate up to 18 people.
The centre-piece of this chalet is the open plan living space which has incredible views of the mountains as well as a gorgeous open log fire. The capacious dining table is perfectly suited to sociable dining and can seat up to 18.
Chalet La Grande Ourse is in a great location & within walking distance of central Morzine. Getting to the slopes is easy as the free ski bus stops just opposite the chalet which takes you to:
The Prodains gondola which is a 5 minute bus ride and this takes you straight into the Avoriaz ski area.
The Pleney gondola in the centre of Morzine, which is a 5 minute bus ride in the opposite direction and this takes you into the Morzine/Les Gets ski area.
Buses go every 20 mins during peak times (8am-10am & 3pm – 7pm) and then every 30 mins for the rest of the day.
Distance to free ski bus stop – 30 metres.
Distance to ski lifts – 5 minute drive / bus-ride.
Distance to Morzine Centre – 3 minute drive / 15-20 minute walk.
